Donna Ratcliffe - Solicitor

I am a Solicitor with PGS Law in our Private Client Department.

I have over 20 years of experience in the legal sector and I specialise in Probate and Estate administration.

I have previously worked as an Advocate and Paralegal, where I gained invaluable experience in clinical negligence, mental health, NHS Continuing Healthcare/care home claims, civil litigation and conveyancing. This experience helps me relate to my Client’s priorities and concerns. In 2023 I completed the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friend awareness training.

I am also a qualified Zumba instructor and enjoy regular boxercise and bootcamp classes, as well as walking my dog with my family. I am on the committee at my daughter’s dancing school and I have been a Trustee and Secretary for my local community centre since 2023 and I regularly volunteer for events, host coffee mornings and drop ins. I have been involved in raising money for various charities that are important to me, with an Alzheimer’s Society Bake Off, coffee morning for Crohn’s and Colitis UK, sober October for McMillan and Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Now.

I put my Client’s interests at the heart of what I do and work hard to protect what matters most to them. Last year I was shortlisted for a Northern Law Award and I have received numerous 5 star reviews.

Qualifications

I did my law degree LLB (Hons) in 2006 and completed legal practice course at Northumbrian University part time, then did a training contract and qualified as a Solicitor in January 2015.
