Tony Ward

I supervise the Litigation Department. There are three other fee earners in the Department, and we undertake a wide range of general litigation including professional negligence cases, commercial disputes, partnership disputes and property litigation. 

I have represented people injured at work for over 30 years, including many high value, complex personal injury claims. I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Over the years my personal injury work has led to my developing a Court of Protection practice for clients who are unable to manage their property and financial affairs. I act as a professional Deputy for some of my clients. I also advise and assist families of clients in relation to their applications for the appointment of Deputies, the approval of gifts by Attorneys and Statutory Wills. I have acted in both contested and non-contested cases before the Court of Protection. I have been involved in cases with the Official Solicitor’s Office, representing other parties in the case.

I pride myself in working hard for my clients, progressing cases efficiently and effectively. I think it’s vital to communicate with clients regularly to ensure that they understand the process they are involved in. As a solicitor, I am familiar with what will happen with your case, but I recognise that for most of our clients it’s a step into the unknown. I always give my advice in a professional and friendly manner understanding the needs and requirements of my clients. 

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 1984 with a Law degree I qualified as a Solicitor in 1986.
