Gavin Teasdale - Solicitor PGS Law Tyne & Wear

Gavin Teasdale - Partner

I am a Solicitor with PGS Law in our Litigation Department and became a Partner in the firm in 2022. Since joining PGS Law in 2010, I have been helping my clients solve a wide variety of contentious legal problems, including residential and commercial landlord and tenant issues, neighbour and boundary disputes, building and workmanship disputes, debt recovery, and other general civil litigation matters.

I also run a legal advice scheme for schools in the region. Additionally, I was a proud member of South Tyneside’s BNI Cookson Chapter for ten years. BNI is a networking and referrals-based organisation, and I am delighted to have been able to contribute significantly to the growth and success of other local businesses.

I have also been a mentor to law students at the University of Sunderland for many years and I have volunteered at the Citizens’ Advice Bureau to provide free advice to members of the public since 2012. I pride myself on delivering a personalised service and going the extra mile to ensure that my clients receive diligent and effective advice and assistance.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Katie, and my two young children, James and Gracie. My main hobbies are football, golf, and fantasy football.

Qualifications

I graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2009 with First Class Honours in my Law LLB (Hons) degree and was presented with the Morton’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Law (Best Graduate). I completed the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in 2010 and started working for PGS Law later that year. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 and have worked in the firm’s Litigation Department since that time.
